Dead-Rubber - Glossary Term
In sporting parlance, a Dead-Rubber is a term used to describe a match, often towards the end of a series where the series result has already been decided by earlier matches. As a result, the dead rubber match has no effect on the outcome of the series, other than the number of matches won and lost.
