Atlantis Internet Group, Corporation (ATIG) sees this initial license as an important first step in its future as a distributor and developer/manufacturer of gaming machines. The company's objective is to introduce the trademark and patent pending Jukebox Slots product through the Northern Territory and other jurisdictions in Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
The company will also be able to test market its new products once they are approved or test its sales strategies on the approved machines that it distributes to an International market.
The company will seek the approval to introduce new slot content to the Australian market with products developed by its recent joint venture (Jukebox Slots, LLC) with development partner ID Interactive -- a premier slot machine and content provider within the United States.
ATIG, the parent company, already develops a line of electronic games such as blackjack, craps, and roulette currently being used online in a Nevada Casino. This International market will allow the company to prepare for the future of slots and casinos which are moving toward the use of other electronic games now being introduced in the global gaming market.
ATIG also announced today that it has officially withdrawn its Slot Distribution License Application in the State of Pennsylvania. The company's decision to withdraw was based on 1) Repeated attempts by Legislators to change or even eliminate that portion of the Bill and 2) No decision by the State on whether or not the State would be divided into regions for the slot distributors.
The final decision on these two factors could have a major effect on the economics of such an application. If the law becomes more defined in the future, the company will reconsider re-applying for a license within the State.
