International Laser & Light (ILL) of Fort Lauderdale, known as International Laser & Event Productions, Inc. (ILEP), has added the innovative lighting systems of Color Kinetics, Inc., a leading national manufacturer of revolutionary new LED lighting systems, to its product lines.
In addition, International Laser & Event Productions will be using the new LED (light emitted diode) lighting products for the many events it produces for its own clients, both locally and nationally, according to Coy Comart, owner of ILL.
ILEP clients include Pfizer and BP Oil, among others nationally, and the Miami Seaquarium, the City of Hallandale Beach, and other companies locally.
Comart's company is well known for a number of unique applications, including projecting moving images and copy on the side of a mountain in Puerto Rico, and, on many occasions projecting multiple moving laser logos, images, and text onto screens, displays, and walls at conventions and trade shows.
ILEP's companion company ILL sells/installs/services lighting fixtures and systems, and will also now add LED products to its inventory.
"This is an ideal lighting product for convention hotels, high-rise real estate projects; trade shows and conventions, automobile dealerships and many other prospects who require high visibility through revolutionary lighting," according to Comart.
"Color Kinetics' unique LED products are lighting fixtures that can produce virtually any shade of any color with slow or fast color changes.
"The new system provides a remarkable presentation.
"One of the most exciting advantages to customers is that LED-based systems can consume less power that conventional lighting methods while generating comparable output" he added.
Comart said that using traditional lighting equipment such as par cans and moving head fixtures at an event often requires that the client pay the venue an exorbitant fee for a power drop, or for a generator. LED lighting can eliminate this cost and thereby provide the client more money in their budget for lighting, or for other items.
"We are using the LED lighting system extensively for event productions, up-lighting the perimeter of ballrooms in changing colors; up-lighting props/fabric in changing colors; stage lighting; dance floor lighting . The uses are limited only by your imagination," said Comart.
ILL will also offer Color Kinetics products directly to commercial buildings, retail establishments and other customers who seek special lighting effects for their own promotion.
Comart founded his company in 2000. As a result of its growth, there are now two separate divisions: ILEP handles all aspects of event production and ILL provides laser and lighting equipment sales, design, installation, and service for commercial buildings, architectural, and retail clients, and others.
